Mortgage lenders will not pursue you unless they think you are worth chasing - ie that you have money to spare. You may well receive threatening letters, in which case, see our "After they find you or contact you" section. But lenders rarely bother actually suing people who are unemployed or unable to pay, thought they will almost certainly threaten to.
